Trees have stood here long before us — hundreds of millions of years ago, when the dawn of Homo sapiens was still an eternity away. They have outlived empires and civilizations. And they will outlive us, including those who were born this very morning.
I’ve loved forests since childhood. I love the creaking of pines and the earthy scent of fallen leaves. Among the trees, I always feel connected to something greater. I feel the vastness of time in a way no other place can offer.
Today, forests are reshaped into parks. Ancient woodlands, once vital to our hunter-gatherer ancestors, are now mere settings for morning jogs or quiet dog walks. Still, within their boundaries, the echoes of legends and history remain alive.
This project is both a celebration of the forest’s enduring wonder and a reflection on our fleeting existence within it. It is a reminder that we are only temporary visitors in this ancient and astonishing world.
